Kingsburg can be found on the southern shores of Nova Scotia's mainland, in Lunenburg County on Kings Bay. Kingsburg was first settled by German settlers who came to the land in 1787 after receiving a grant from King George III, after whom the town was named. The most prominent industry in Kingsburg is fishing, although the town did endure an economic crisis after a fish packing plant closed its doors. Kingsburg is positioned just 18.9 km (11.7 mi.) from Lunenburg, traveling down the scenic Lighthouse Route (Highway 332).

Kingsburg is positioned between Kingsburg Beach and Hirtle's Beach, which is the more popular of the two. Both beaches consist of swimmable waters, white sand and pristine views of the ocean and shoreline. There are numerous hiking trails around Kingsburg, excellent fishing locations, swimmable ponds, a plethora of animals including bird-watching and so much more. Of course, the nearby town of Lunenburg is a storied community with much to do.

Kingsburg accommodations include beautiful cottages.
