Centreville is a small community located in Kings County, where Highway 221 and Highway 359 meet. Centreville likely derives its name from the simple fact it is centrally located around Kentville, Wolfville and New Minas. At one time, the land where Centreville is situated was part of the Cornwallis Township, as grants were made in 1759 and then 1761. The first Centreville school was built in 1874 and the first post office was constructed in 1966. Main industries in Centreville are both agriculture and food processing.
