Deep Brook is part of Annapolis County, on the southern shores of the Annapolis Basin. Deep Brook was first settled by Loyalists of the American Revolution sometime in the last quarter of the 18th century. Deep Brook was the home of a 1943 naval reserve, the H.M.C.S. Cornwallis, but after WWII, the training centre was closed. Deep Brook is a modest fishing community. Deep Brook is also situated only 13.5 km (8.4 mi.) from the popular tourism destination of Digby.

Deep Brook is a great location, with Digby to the west and Cornwallis to the east. As a result, the calm, relaxing community of Deep Brook is a great choice for a summer getaway, offering such nearby attractions as whale-watching, gorgeous national parks and historic gardens, various tours, championship golf, historical museums, the Balancing Rock, a theme park, fine dining, theatre and on the list goes. If you've got your fill of Nova Scotia, then hop on the ferry terminal to Saint John, New Brunswick.

Deep Brook accommodations include beautiful waterfront bed and breakfasts.
