Centreville is a small community located in Kings County, where Highway 221 and Highway 359 meet. Centreville likely derives its name from the simple fact it is centrally located around Kentville, Wolfville and New Minas. At one time, the land where Centreville is situated was part of the Cornwallis Township, as grants were made in 1759 and then 1761. The first Centreville school was built in 1874 and the first post office was constructed in 1966. Main industries in Centreville are both agriculture and food processing. Centreville is located 109 km (67.7 mi.) northwest of Halifax.

Centreville is home to the Charles MacDonald Concrete House Museum, which is a beautiful cottage that features artistic sculptures of various animals and other things. The cottage is also filled inside with plenty of great artwork. As well, Centreville offers the Kidston Creek Organic Farm and Yoga Centre, which is located in the scenic Annapolis Valley. Centreville is home to a wonderful park, which features walking trails and sports venues. A beautiful 18-hole golf course in Centreville is sure to make for a memorable golfing experience.
