It is virtually illegal not to visit iconic Peggy's Cove when visiting Nova Scotia.
Christopher James Power is considered to be the founder of Chester, although, before he came across the land, it's believed French fishermen already had homes built on the site. Chester, a historic seaside resort, is located in Lunenburg County, and is widely considered to be one of the wealthiest communities in Nova Scotia, home to many large mansions, often a summer getaway for vacationers. Chester is home to four museums, which all offer a broad spectrum of intriguing artifacts and information. Chester offers yachting, cycling, sailing, hiking, golfing, gift shops, galleries and many hospitable fine diners. Enjoy live music and theatre, or come in December and experience the annual New Ross Christmas Festival. Spectacular ocean views can be seen in Blandford and the Aspotogan Peninsula, or hike down Aspotogan Trail to East River. Chester Connection Trail leads from East River to Martin's River, for a total of 35 km (21.7 mi.).
