Middle LaHave is located on the southern shores of Nova Scotia, along the LaHave River. Middle LaHave was known as East La Have Ferry until 1916, after the ferry service stopped. Middle LaHave, a member of Lunenburg County, is rich in history and conveniently situated on the Lighthouse Route (Highway 331). Middle LaHave is predominantly a fishing community with a modest farming industry. The Louisbourg Fortress, a major tourist attraction, can be found just 36.7 km (22.8 mi.) northeast of Middle LaHave.

Middle LaHave is home to many activities, such as swimming in the ocean, relaxing at one of many sandy beaches, visiting nearby provincial parks, hiking or biking down the many beautiful trails, and kayaking in the ocean or the LaHave River. As well, improve your local knowledge at the numerous nearby museums. Middle LaHave also features many storied heritage buildings, old churches and a beautiful harbour where boats are always floating on by.
