North River Bridge is a member of Victoria County, along the eastern section of the Cabot Trail on beautiful Cape Breton Island. North River Bridge was initially settled by Scotsmen in the 1800s, via Lewis Island and Harris Island. With time, the small village would develop a church and school before the turn of the 20th century. North River Bridge is just 36.8 km (22.9 mi.) north of the storied community of Baddeck, home of Alexander Graham Bell.

North River Bridge is the proud home of the North River Provincial Park, which includes a picnic area, numerous fishing spots, mountains and a pretty 9 km (5.6 mi.) trail suitable for walking or biking, which is the gateway to a picturesque 104 ft (32 m) waterfall, the tallest in all of Nova Scotia. As well, visitors can go kayaking, spot wildlife and absorb the natural beauty of the area. North River Bridge is minutes away in Baddeck, one of Nova Scotia's most popular tourism destinations.
