Charm and adventure!

The town of Wolfville offers tourists and residents its picturesque views and small town charm. It is nestled in the fertile Annapolis Valley, about 100 kms northwest of Halifax. Here the high tides of the Bay of Fundy rush in and out of what is described as one of the smallest bays in the world.

Wolfville was originally settled by the Acadians and was named Mud Creek. Today it has a population of approximately 3800 full time residents though this number doubles during the school year when students arrive to attend Acadia University. This influx of energetic youth gives way to a vibrant night life and a very active community. Numerous festivals are held through out the year including the Ice Wine Festival, The Pumpkin Festival, The Apple Blossom Festival and the Atlantic Theatre Festival.

As well as attending festivals in Wolfville, the surrounding area includes the famous Evangeline Trail, a tourism route that travels among Nova Scotia’s coastal communities. This is truly a part of Canada’s ocean playground.

A trip to Wolfville would not be complete without staying in one of the many older, charming bed and breakfasts. The relaxing east-coast lifestyle, entertainment or scenic, outdoor adventures are all just a step away. The small town atmosphere with its vibrant personality are enough to keep visitors returning year after year.
